Born in Waco, Texas, and living rurally nearby, I grew up with a rich relationship to the city. I've always appreciated the unique blend of community and culture that defines this city. With its deep-rooted history and friendly atmosphere, Waco has always felt like home. This being the sole reason I chose to continue my education at MCC and then Baylor University and take my first teaching position with Waco ISD.

Whether it was spending time with family, watching my dad serve the community as a fireman and my mother as a teacher, or enjoying Baylor sporting events, beginning with my childhood Waco has been a big part of my own history. The city's rich traditions, delicious food, and warm-hearted people have shaped my identity and instilled in me a love for community.

The heart of the Waco people inspired me to give back to this city and community of people I love. Whether it's cheering for local sports teams, volunteering, or supporting small businesses, I carry the spirit of Waco with me wherever I go.
