Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a therapy that sees our minds as having different parts, like a family inside us. Each part has its own thoughts and feelings. Some parts try to protect us, some react when we're stressed, and some hold onto old pain or trauma. At the core of IFS is the Self, a calm and wise part of us that can help understand and heal these different parts. The goal of IFS is to help people connect with their Self, understand their parts, and heal any old wounds, so the parts can work together more peacefully.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a type of therapy that helps people manage intense emotions and improve relationships. It combines two main ideas: acceptance, (understanding and accepting your feelings) and change (learning skills to improve behavior). DBT teaches skills in 4 areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. The goal of DBT is to help people feel more balanced and in control of their emotions.

Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) is a type of therapy that helps people change negative thought patterns and behaviors. The idea is that our thoughts, feelings, and actions are all connected. If you change how you think, you can change how you feel and what you do. In therapy sessions you identify negative thoughts, challenge those thoughts, replace them with healthier thoughts and change behaviors. CBT is often used to treat anxiety, depression and other mental health issues by teaching practical skills to manage emotions and improve daily life.

Eclectic Therapy is a flexible approach to therapy where I am able to blend different techniques and methods from various types of therapy, depending on what works best for the client and goals in mind. Eclectic therapy is like using the right tools for the job, aiming for the most effective way to help you. I lean heavily on these three methods in my work but will pull techniques from other modalities when it is in the best interest of the client. The ability to formulate the right path to your goals is what makes a therapist unique and effective for you. I will rely on a deep repertoire of methods and experiences to curate the right path that gets you where you want the quickest. Therapy can be a lifelong maintenance style of mental health care but it can also be a quick solution to a problem you have. It's up to you!
