Hi, I’m

Stacy.

Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, LPC-Associate* (she, her)

Welcome to my counseling practice! I’m here to support you through difficult situations and help you navigate the complexities of your emotions. As a counselor, my role is to provide you with an unbiased and non-judgmental perspective while offering guidance, encouragement, and support.

I believe in creating a safe and laid-back environment where you can freely express your thoughts, feelings, and challenges. It’s important to me that you feel comfortable and accepted as we work together towards your goals. I celebrate your successes and focus on your strengths, as these are essential elements for your growth and progress.

*I am providing counseling as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and supervised by Lindsey Gaar, Licensed Professional Supervisor.

How did I get here?

For over two decades I had the privilege of working with teens and young adults, who were seeking to reach their full potential while simultaneously developing self worth and self identity.

As a teacher and coach, I utilized strengths and weaknesses to develop personal growth plans for individuals and groups. I focused on utilizing a growth mindset to foster resilience and confidence in each individual. I used mistakes as opportunities to grow and learn all while using positive feedback as my favorite tool. I utilized a strength based approach to improvement and positive feedback to create a growth mindset.

I have gained valuable expertise through the past two decades. First In education and then equally with Heart of Texas Behavioral Health Network in Waco, Texas. At HOT Counseling Center my areas of clinical work included anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar, personality disorders, life transitions, and substance use issues.

I am a dedicated therapist helping clients establish boundaries, create healthy coping skills, and build resilience for the life they deserve. Now, I am thrilled to take all that I have learned and experienced and provide personalized care through my own private practice, Live Well & Excel Counseling, PLLC.

My Goal

My goal is centered around empowering you to develop healthy coping skills and manage your emotions effectively. Together, we will identify strategies that promote emotional well-being and foster positive self-worth. I am dedicated to helping you find happiness and achieve your life goals.

When I’m not in
therapy sessions…

  • I enjoy walking, lifting weights and yoga.

  • I love reading, decorating, and ice cream (cookies and cream 🙂).

  • I am spending time with friends and family, especially my grandchildren.

  • I am married and we have 4 children, 1 dog, and 2 cats.

But, enough

about me.

I would love to get to know more about YOU! Please contact me for more information and a free phone consultation at (254) 307-1978 or send an email through the provided link or on the contact page.

I invite you to bring your whole self into the therapy room. So, yes, you can lie down on the couch, memes are welcome in session, and I would love to see a picture of your dog any time.
